You Create the Hole of Your Own Reality

That’s Not a Typo: You Need to Start Making Different Choices

DATELINE: Osaka, Japan

This week I had lunch with one of my favourite Alumni Clients, here in Japan. Was it luck that drew two awesome people to the same city at the same time? Or was it manifestation?

As you can tell from my weekly videos and articles, I love a good framework for understanding business better. Scott Adams (the creator of Dilbert) has a great filter for testing any framework in your life:

The Filter for Testing Any Framework in Your Life

  1. Does it make you happy?
  2. Does it help you predict the future?

There are plenty of worldviews that are designed to make you angry or sad. And there are plenty that blow smoke up your bum – they may feel comforting, but they’re not accurate and so they cannot help you to improve your life.

This week I’m sharing one of the most critical frameworks in my life. It’s the highest-level contextual filter that Harmony and I apply in creating the life we live and the business we run.

It’s this simple, and this scary: I choose and I create the whole of my reality.

Viewing the world from this platform makes us happy. And, importantly, it helps us plan, predict, and influence the future. I recommend it so much more than the drama triangle “old paradigm” hole that so many people feel trapped inside.

I wonder which of you I’ll create my next great lunch with? And where…?
