Long time readers remember I was early into AI, whether that was my keynotes from 2019 onwards, or the old newsletter feature highlighting an AI Tool of the week.
Then I cooled off, massively.
GenerativeAI is neat, I use it everyday for work, worldschooling, and curiosity. But the transition from “neat” to “actually saves me time and money” took far longer than I expected.
The wait is over.
This week I hired Viktor, on a recommendation from Dan Norris. I’m more a tech observer than practitioner – one way Viktor surprised me was pointing out the mistakes in my instructions and suggesting a way to fix them.
As a test case … see this week’s newsletter.
The article included? Viktor took the WordPress transcript, corrected grammar errors, added subheadings, and inserted relevant images from my media library. That used to take me an hour, and he did it while I made a coffee.
Then I asked him to put the article into my weekly Mailchimp template (previously a task for my marketing agency). He identified an API roadblock, found a workaround, and having drafted the newsletter he then created a campaign with the right mailing list and scheduled send time.
…Then he gave me some suggestions about improving open rates and re-engaging bounced subscribers. I’m still on the free trial.
Then he grabbed this introduction (which I wrote) and posted it to my website – you can see ‘Viktor AI’ as the author.
Expect to hear more about Viktor after a month of employment. [Edit in May 2026: Viktor keeps winning our Employee of the Month Award. You can create your own version (with free bonus credits for a trial) by clicking here.]
