Eggsactly What I Wanted to Discuss

Happy Easter
Housekeeping and gags before this weekâs important business topic.
Thank you to everyone who replied or acted on last weekâs email. I heard from several other small business owners who are also in a kind of âemail limbo / hellâ due to either Google or Microsoft email deliverability issues.
The presentation at my daughterâs school was a success! I was impressed by how focused the 5 year olds were â it ended with a 10 minute Q&A session, but no standing ovation.
Iâll focus on this next week, when more people will be at work and reading: I will be in the UK for business April 29 to May 18. Iâm looking to speak at some #WinWin events â if you have UK-based clients and want to organise a small group seminar, with this international business coach volunteering as your excuse to get together, please reach out.
Iâve been sharing this Easter gag for almost 20 years now, and it still makes me laugh:

Blackboard Fridays Episode #53 â The Golden Rule is Bull$#@%!
Youâre likely familiar with The Golden Rule: âDo unto others as you would have them do unto you.â
Now, this âGolden Ruleâ is great when youâre an aggro four-year-old, or a six-year-old who thinks pulling hair is appropriate behaviour.
By adulthood, youâre supposed to have grown out of that behaviour ⊠and you need to grow out of the Golden Rule.
Because when it comes to dealing with other people â in business, and in life â the Golden Rule is Bulls#!t.
If you try to build a business on the Golden Rule, youâll either have frustrated clients and employees ⊠or youâll be tearing your own hair out.
Watch this weekâs video to understand how to apply Context to making better decisions that make EVERYONE happier.
With love,
